Suddenly, there was a flapping sound from above and in an instant
the snake was no longer behind her. She looked up towards the flapping
sound and saw an owl holding the snake with her claws flying away.
She was safe for the moment. Dizzy was exhausted and just sat down and
went to sleep.
She did not know how long she slept but she was awakened by some noises among the bushes. She looked up and saw a fox. The fox started to run towards her and once again, Dizzy had to run for her life. She just ran and ran and ran, stumbled and fell. She thought that she would be dead for sure this time. How can she be so lucky as the first time. She looked towards the fox but to her surprise, it wasn't really after her. It caught the rabbit that was right behind her which she did not know about. She gave out a sigh of relief.
She has been lucky for the second time. Perhaps, the fox did not see her because she was shorter that the weeds and that was why it did not go after her. She kept very still, laid low so as not to attract any unwanted attention. Before long, she fell asleep again.
