1. Show the children a picture of a chameleon. Ask the children if the know what is so special about a chameleon. Where might you find one? Would you like to be able to change color like a chameleon? Today our story is about a journey that the chameleon takes. Let’s read and find out if he turns into anything else.
2. Have the word CHAMALEON written down on
a piece of paper. Ask the children if
they have any idea of what it is.
Discuss with the children what a chamaleon does. Tell them that today we
will read about a very special chamaleon.
3. Ask the children if they have ever
dressed up for Halloween. Discuss what
a chamaleon does and the way they look.
Tell them today we will read and find out just what the chamaleon
changes into.
